Paraskevidekatriaphobia

Paraskevidekatriaphobia (сущ.) – параскевидекатриафобия, боязнь пятницы 13-го.
Если вы принадлежите к тем, кто считает, что разбитое зеркало и черный кот, перебежавший вам дорогу, – это предвестники несчастья, то скорее всего вы будете избегать число 13.    

Странно, но факт, большинство из нас чувствуют себя беспокойно, если 13 число выпадает на пятницу. Этот страх и получил название «paraskevidekatriaphobia» (параскевидекатриафобия), а людей, подверженных этим страхам, можно назвать «paraskevidekatriaphobes» или «paraskevidekatriaphobics».

Термин «параскевидекатриафобия» был впервые употреблен в начале 90-х доктором Дональдом Досеем, американским психотерапевтом, специализирующемся на фобиях и стрессовых ситуациях, который настаивал на том, что если человек был в состоянии произнести это слово, значит, он здоров. Основа слова происходит от греческих слов paraskevi (пятница) и dekatria (тринадцать) и слова -phobia (страх).
